Care Matters, LLC was established in 2006; its founder and current director, Wendy Hooker, has provided Medical Case Management services for over 17 years and holds many professional credentials including Licensed Master Social Worker, Certified Brain Injury Specialist, and Geriatric Care Manager to name a few.
Care Matters began as a home-based business which today has two offices – one in Troy and Southfield – and a staff that has more than 50 years of combined experience in care management. The Care Matters team consists of specialized professionals including a Care Coordinator, Support Specialist, RN, CNA, Certified Dementia Practitioner, Paralegal, and Accounts Manager.

Care Matters was started because resources and support are critical when experiencing a life-altering event. While medical and legal professionals help a person deal with certain facets of a problem, who helps you to cope with all of this as a person, not a patient? Who helps you get your life back? That’s why I started Care Matters.
